To change the default save location click on the menu next to a data type and pick one of the available locations from the menu that opens Windows 10 lists all partitions that are available on the computer. You are taken to a new screen which displays the default save locations for six different types of data: Apps, Documents, Music, Photos and Videos, Movies and TV Shows, and Maps.Įach of these options is set to 'This PC' by default. You can move all the data under your ' Users ' folder to free some space on your C: drive.

I do understand that you want to free some space on your main drive which is the C: drive. It may take several minutes before it’s done and so, be patient. Independent advisor and a Windows 10 user like you. Copy the folders of Program Files and Program Files(X86) in the system drive and paste them onto the D drive.
